When our client came to us about transforming their unfinished basement into a cool and colorful space for their teens, we were so in! She wanted a space that would make her house the “it house” for her kids and their friends as these teen moments are fleeting. You know that house growing up that you were drawn to and you basically wanted to move in? Yep, this is it!

There is something about designing a space for kids that allows you to embrace color on a new level and have fun with it! We kept it bright and modern with lots of texture and playful colors throughout. We added unexpected elements like contrasting beige trim against the white walls and a green fireplace to really stand out and pull in the decorative accessories. We added a half bathroom and a kitchenette area with a candy bar and mini fridge. We created a space for homework, games, and arts and crafts. And of course the biggest, comfiest couch for all the movie nights! We are so excited for all of the memories they will get to make in this space!
